Many Hands are committed to both Brewing Good & Doing Good. As part of this commitment, we want to recognise those local champions who are doing something extraordinary.

In 2020 we started the Hand Picked Local Heroes initiative, a way of bringing attention to those individuals nominated by their communities as making a difference and specifically those creating or doing something practical and meaningful with their hands. As a thank you from us, we’ll keep them well supplied with our delicious beers to enjoy and share.

If you want to nominate someone for this initiative, please email us at hello@manyhandsbrew.com. The person nominated must be over 18, have an Instagram account (so we can show people the work their doing) and ideally be a fan of beer!

As well as working a second job 6 months of the year, Marcus has managed to build a huge following based on his delicious recipes and straightforward approach to exceptional food. As well as being a genuine and welcoming guy, it’s the way Marcus is always willing to help promote other local businesses that really caught our eye. brendan Rawlings - driftwood artist

Brendan had the first concept of his company, Zen Wood Design, a few years ago whilst living and working in Dubai. He ran a successful fitness company in this competitive, fast paced city but often felt that there was a piece of himself missing. When his family returned to Devon in the summer of 2017 it was hugely apparent what that was. Nature. Brendan believes that Nature, 'feeds the soul and heals us to the core', so working in it and with it has been an enlightening experience for him. Brendan only uses reclaimed or drift/fall wood, and donates monthly to a charity actively planting new trees. He is creating truly sustainable art, inspired by things he's passionate about. what more could you ask for?

Brendan's pieces can be seen and purchased on his website at https://www.zenwooddesign.co.uk/

Zen Wood Design's instagram account can be followed at https://www.instagram.com/zenwooddesign/

john stock - lockdown legend

503BD25D-0072-4BF1-BAB9-A73BD368B3DC.JPG

Nominated by his son Adam, we’re delighted to announce our next Hand Picked Hero as John Stock.

When lockdown came into effect, John got to work cooking meals around the clock with his wife Vicki for those in need. Through the Facebook page – Exmouth Friends in Need – hundreds of people were fed and even better they were fed with food that would otherwise have gone to waste. The donations of food were received from businesses in Exmouth such as Krispies and Prezzo as they were forced to shut up shop with very little notice. For his selfless actions and community spirit, we’re really happy to recognise John and the Exmouth Friends in need network. Beer’s to you John!
